NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss Invests in New Miami-Based Chicken Restaurant

Randy Moss teams up with restaurateur Brittany Tolliferre to launch Crisppi’s, a new fried chicken venture, with plans for future expansion.
NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss is expanding his ventures beyond football, now investing in the food industry with the launch of a new chicken restaurant, Crisppi’s, in Miami.

The restaurant, owned by Brittany Tolliferre, is set to open its doors on January 18, 2025, at 2917 Biscayne Blvd. Crisppi’s will specialize in crispy chicken sandwiches, chicken and waffle pairings, and other chicken-based fast food offerings.

Tolliferre previously founded Chick-a-Boom in Philadelphia, a restaurant known for its chicken and waffles, which caught Moss’s attention in 2023. His investment in Crisppi’s marks his first foray into the restaurant business.

The menu at Crisppi’s includes unique sandwiches like the Sweet Thai Combo, Honey Mustard Combo, and Mango Habanero Combo, as well as a variety of chicken and waffle dishes with toppings such as Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and fresh fruit.

While the Miami location will be the first Crisppi’s, the owners are already planning future expansion, aiming to bring their signature dishes to neighborhoods in need of high-quality meals.

For now, the restaurant’s focus will be on its flagship location in Florida.

Randy Moss, widely recognized for his record-breaking career as a wide receiver in the NFL, retired in 2012 after 14 seasons with teams including the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, and New England Patriots.

He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018. Moss has long made Florida his home, owning a property in the Polo Club of Boca Raton since 1999.

Crisppi’s grand opening is anticipated to be a hit, and with Moss’s involvement, the restaurant has gained considerable attention.

As the brand grows, it plans to leverage the popularity of its distinctive offerings, hoping to replicate the success of similar fast-casual dining concepts.
